Running routes around Wandsworth for tired physios

May I brag?

In addition to cycling 20 miles a day to get to Earlsfield from the hilly south east of London, yesterday I went for a run around Wandsworth.

I headed up Magdalen Road, past the tennis courts and cemetery and diverted up via Routh Road to get to Wandsworth Common via the Trinity road side if that makes sense. After a lap of the common, I ran down to Wandsworth old town, past the fabulous Alma pub and through the less fabulous town centre of Wansworth. It was a bit of a trip down memory lane as I have worked in many of the GP centres in this area for the last 10 years so it was well – trodden ground. Down Garratt lane and turned right into Kimber road and onwards towards Southfields. A lot of our physiotherapy patients live in Southfields so I was spotted twice so at least I look like I’m practising what I preach. Down Merton road and down towards Wimbledon where I Turned towards the dog stadium and back up to Earlsfield.

Now knackered.

I’ll not deny it. That was a whopper and I’m feeling out of shape. That said, I have no running or sports injuries at the moment so I can’t complain.

Anyway, if anyone has any other routes that they do in the SW18 or SW19 areas, let me know. Would love to hear them!
